Looking back, looking forward

Just over seven years ago I was privileged to go to Ghana with "Wheels for the World", the overseas branch of "Through the Roof" - a Christian organisation meeting the needs of disabled people. You can read my blog "Wheels for Ghana". It was an eye-opening, life-changing trip. http://christinethefizz.blogspot.co.uk/

This year I have the opportunity to visit Kenya with Wheels for the World (WftW). I have been to Kenya before - when Nick and I were on study leave. If you wish, you can read about that trip on another blog http://www.christine-kenyatrip.blogspot.co.uk/

This time I will be going somewhere new - to Kimilili where there have been many previous WftW distributions.   I am really excited to be going.  I will be paying my own way but in addition I hope to raise some funds for WftW because it is expensive to ship the wheelchairs from the UK to Mombasa, Kenya. More about that soon! From the filling in of the application form, and the email to say I'm on the team, to thinking about fund-raising.... the trip just got a whole load closer!
